The Heritage Christian Patriots lost against the Christian Community Warriors back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Heritage Christian was dealt a 69-37 defeat at the hands of Christian Community. Heritage Christian has not had much luck with Christian Community recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Leading Christian Community to victory were Nate Miller and Grant Doeringer. Miller scored 21 points along with five assists and two steals, while Doeringer scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Doeringer is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Seth Roberts, who scored six points along with three blocks and two steals.
Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Christian Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
Heritage Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Reimer Road Baptist Christian at 6:30 p.m. Reimer Road Baptist Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 contests -- so hopefully Heritage Christian likes a good challenge. As for Christian Community, they will head out on the road to challenge Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
