The Harmony Longhorns will be playing at home against the Celebration Storm at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Harmony came up short against Flagler Palm Coast and fell 29-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Harmony has scored all season.
Celebration suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Cypress Creek by a score of 36-33. Celebration has not had much luck with Cypress Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Celebration saw an underclassman step up: Evelyn Juden almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. That was a full 36.4% of Celebration's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Valeria Martinez was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
Harmony's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Celebration, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-6.
Harmony strolled past Celebration in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 38-23. Does Harmony have another victory up their sleeve, or will Celebration turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
