Jackson Kiser made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
Kiser wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Swanson, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Fort LeBoeuf hadn't beaten Warren on the road since April 29, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Bison blew past the Dragons 9-2. The Bison not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 11, 2024 (when they won 10-0).
The team relied heavily on Ethan Bliley, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Nick Askins, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Fort LeBoeuf was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive contests.
General McLane's record now sits at 9-2. As for Fort LeBoeuf, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.
Fort LeBoeuf's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. General McLane has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Fort LeBoeuf, though, as they've been averaging only 3.6 strikeouts. Will General McLane keep running through batters, or will the Bison buck the trend?
General McLane took their win against Fort LeBoeuf in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
