The biggest upset of the week belonged to Stone Mountain, who took down 281st ranked Stone Mountain, 34-20.
Columbia moved up to 146 from 177 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAAA Region 6A. A 16-0 win over the Eagles helped the Eagles improve their standing.
Chamblee's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jordan Branch threw for 62 yards and Desmond Noird had 34 yards receiving. On the ground Dezmin Reed chipped in 73 yards. Quincy Watford helped Chamblee's passing attack out by catching one ball for 22 yards.
Davin Bellamy made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Bulldogs beat Redan. The 6-foot-5 senior recorded one fumble and grabbed 1.0 sack.
Chamblee's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Branch has thrown for 671 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Noird has 15 catches for 280 yards. Reed leads the league in rushing with 294 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Columbia takes on Chamblee. The Eagles are currently in third, while Allen Johnson's team is in first.
Marist took down Columbia 16-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
