Jefferson and Sickles are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long. The Jefferson Dragons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sickles Gryphons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Jefferson had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Blake on Thursday. Jefferson never let Blake get on the board and left with a 15-0 win.

KJ Sampson
| 03/06/25 @ Blake | 4 |
| 03/01/25 vs Lennard | 2 |
| 02/20/25 @ Chamberlain | 1 |
| 04/15/24 vs Gaither | 1 |
| 04/04/24 @ Blake | 5 |
KJ Sampson looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Isiah Fernandez was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Watts, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
Jefferson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blake only posted an OBP of .400.
Meanwhile, Sickles waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by an 11-4 margin over the Terriers.
Jake Taylor looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Sickles got a big performance out of Jordan Yost, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Sickles is undefeated when Yost posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Shearer, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Sickles pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Jefferson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sickles struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Jefferson couldn't quite get it done against Sickles when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can Jefferson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
