Football Game Preview: Williams Valley Vikings vs. Lansdale Catholic Crusaders + How To Watch

The Williams Valley Vikings will challenge the Lansdale Catholic Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williams Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Williams Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 34-31 victory over Schuylkill Haven. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since September 12th.

Williams Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fletcher Thompson, who rushed for 161 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 67 receiving yards and one TD. Thompson's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 129 rushing yards. Colin Crisswell did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards.

Williams Valley didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Schuylkill Haven to a completion percentage of just 40%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from four players: Thompson, Trevon Bair, Evan Achenbach, and Cole Hubler, who each logged one passes deflected. Williams Valley wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 68.4%.

Williams Valley's defensive line didn't let Max Heim, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. Evan Kandybowski refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.

Meanwhile, Lansdale Catholic really took it to Lakeland for the full four quarters, racking up a 43-7 win. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Williams Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Lansdale Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
