The Randolph County Tigers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Dadeville Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Randolph County's and Beulah's contest on Friday was close at halftime, but Randolph County turned on the heat in the second half with 30 points. Randolph County put the hurt on Beulah with a sharp 50-29 victory.
Randolph County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maurice Winston, who rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Amari Molden, who rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Dadeville humbled Childersburg with a 46-12 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Dadeville.
Dadeville found their leader in underclassman Brandez Eason, who rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Eason hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for six straight games. Corde Jefferson was another key contributor, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Another reason for the win was Dadeville's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Childersburg's QB won't forget Tory Rimstad anytime soon given Rimstad sacked him six times.
Their wins bumped Randolph County to 7-1 and Dadeville to 4-2.
Friday's match might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. Randolph County has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 346.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Dadeville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 314.3 per game. It's looking like Friday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
Randolph County was taken down by Dadeville 49-7 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Randolph County have more luck at home instead of on the road?
