Gateway Christian's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tidewater Academy Warriors. Gateway Christian not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 6, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Gateway Christian took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11, 25-15.

Gateway Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleigh Nagata, who had 12 aces. Another player making a difference was Daniella Obando, who had eight digs and two aces.

The victory got Gateway Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Tidewater Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gateway Christian will head out to take on Hampton Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tidewater Academy, they will challenge Guardian Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
