Altoona-Midway is 2-8 against Pleasanton since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Altoona-Midway Jets will look to defend their home court  against the Pleasanton Blu-Jays at 5:00  p.m. Altoona-Midway will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
 Last Tuesday, Altoona-Midway was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  60-54 to Southeast. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Altoona-Midway in their matchups with Southeast: they've now lost seven in a row.
 Despite their  loss, Altoona-Midway saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  William Stackhouse, who  scored 23 points along with eight  rebounds and four  steals, was perhaps the best of all. That was a full 42.6% of Altoona-Midway's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jacob Meigs, who  scored 15 points along with three  steals and three  blocks.
 Meanwhile, Pleasanton put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Marmaton Valley as Pleasanton made off with a  61-39 victory. The  victory was nothing new for Pleasanton as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Altoona-Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Pleasanton, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
 Altoona-Midway was dealt a bruising  79-47 defeat at the hands of Pleasanton in their previous meeting  back in January of 2023. The  matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Altoona-Midway was down  53-33.
