After flying high against the Red Oak Tigers on Friday, the Lewis Central Titans came back down to earth. Lewis Central was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 69-68 to Jefferson. Lewis Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jefferson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Leading Jefferson to victory were Jayden Calabro and Jordan Dewaele. Calabro scored 25 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds, while Dewaele scored 30 points along with 8 rebounds. The matchup was Calabro's third in a row with at least ten points.
Lewis Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Jefferson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewis Central will take on St. Albert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sioux City West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
