The Tuscarora Huskies will challenge the Broad Run Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Tuscarora is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Rock Ridge with a sharp 15-1 win on Thursday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Phoenix recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Caleb Kim looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Michael Kozikowski, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three RBI. Tuscarora is 3-1 when Kozikowski posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Majkowski, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
Tuscarora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Broad Run never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Park View 12-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.
Tuscarora pushed their record up to 7-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Broad Run, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Everything went Tuscarora's way against Broad Run in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Tuscarora made off with a 9-0 victory. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
