 Meanwhile, Gateway had to suffer through  a    48-6 loss at the hands of Sand Creek. The Olympians were down  48-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
 Gateway's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Thornton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
 Thornton lost to Gateway on the road  by a decisive  30-16 margin  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
