Easton Area has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Bethlehem Catholic Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Easton Area earned a 46-39 victory over the Blue Eagles.
Easton Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Cornish, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adonis Pompilus, who scored 12 points.
Bethlehem Catholic fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past Louis E. Dieruff with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 57-40.
Easton Area's record now sits at 7-14. Bethlehem Catholic's record now sits at 4-12.
Easton Area was able to grind out a solid victory over the Hawks in their previous matchup back in January, winning 43-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Easton Area since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
