Iota won the last time they faced Loreauville and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Iota Bulldogs blew past the Loreauville Tigers 13-3. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matches by more than seven  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Saige Cherry made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits. Cherry was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Ainsley Lacombe was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and one  double. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  RBI.  Chloe Bordelon was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and two  runs.
 Iota  lost a few balls and  finished the game with four  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
Iota is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record  this season. Loreauville now  has a losing record of 6-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iota will face off against St. Edmund at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Loreauville, they will square off against Kinder at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Loreauville has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
