Essex and Westmoreland squared off in some playoff action  on Thursday, but Essex had to settle for second. They fell to the Westmoreland Eagles  41-36. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Despite the  loss, Essex had strong showings from  Morgan Self, who  almost  dropped  a double-double with 13 points and nine  rebounds, and  Kenedi Campbell, who  posted four  points and six  boards. Self is  on a roll when it comes to  boards, as she's  now  pulled down nine or more in each of the last four games she's  played.
 Even though they lost, Essex  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least ten  offensive rebounds in three consecutive  matches.
