Softball Recap: Brenham Has No Trouble Against Rudder

Brenham gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past the Rudder Rangers 13-3. Considering the Cubs have won five games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brenham is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. Rudder is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Brenham will square off against rival Lake Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Brenham has won three straight at home, while Lake Creek won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Meanwhile, Rudder is set to face off against their familiar foe Montgomery at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
