On Wednesday, the Dunbar Crimson Tide faced the Anacostia Indians in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Dunbar came out on top against Anacostia by a score of 51-38. That's another feather in the cap for Dunbar, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Anacostia saw an underclassman step up: Nayjah Duvall scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Shayonna Nave was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Dunbar's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Anacostia, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunbar will square off against Archbishop Carroll at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Anacostia, they will head out on the road to face off against Bowie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
