Baseball Recap: Fisher Catholic's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Fisher Catholic had lost eight games straight , but after bumping their record up to 3-10 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Harvest Prep Warriors by a score of 8-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-0 on April 7th.

As for Harvest Prep, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11. On the bright side, the five- run effort marked their highest-scoring game to date.

For Harvest Prep's part, Jacob Graniela made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That run marked the first that Graniela has scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Dyson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Fisher Catholic has already played their next contest (against Fairfield Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Harvest Prep, they will challenge Mansfield Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Flames have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.71 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
