ARDMORE, Okla. - After taking the lead in the fourth quarter,
Blanchard (Okla.) held on for a 20-17 victory over
Plainview (Ardmore, Okla.) on Saturday. The difference for the Lions was that
Braden Stringer ran for a touchdown.
The Lions led 7-0 at halftime, but the Indians regained the lead on a Stringer touchdown run with under a minute left in the fourth.
Blanchard saw its 7-point halftime lead decrease to four entering the fourth.
The loss snapped Plainview's 13-game winning streak.
BHS went into the matchup giving up only 10.5 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Plainview, which notched a 41-12 victory over Locust Grove in its previous outing.
