The Antelope Valley Antelopes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. Their rough 76-52 defeat to Littlerock might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Antelope Valley in their matchups with Littlerock: they've now lost six in a row.
Antelope Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kiwan Sims, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Deshawn Lewis, who scored ten points.
Littlerock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Young Jr., who scored 34 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathew Monroy, who scored 21 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds.
Antelope Valley's loss was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-16. As for Littlerock, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.
Antelope Valley will head out on the road to square off against Eastside at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Eastside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Wednesday. As for Littlerock, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Highland at 6:30 p.m. Highland is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
