South Sevier is a perfect 6-0 against Monticello since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Buckaroo at 3:30 p.m. South Sevier is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
While South Sevier's victory against Richfield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Wildcats on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won three games in a row.
Trayl Parsons made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Parsons was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cannon Barney, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Hayden Edwards, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
South Sevier hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. South Sevier has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Monticello struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
South Sevier got the 'W' in their previous meeting on Tuesday against Monticello by a conclusive 25-1 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buckaroo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
