The Parkside Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Wicomico Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Parkside took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 70-26 win over Pocomoke. The win made it back-to-back wins for Parkside.
Parkside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ronnie White led the charge by scoring 13 points. Talayah Clark was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Wicomico at home against Mardela on Thursday as the squad secured a 70-10 victory.
Se'Lah Foreman had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Wicomico's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlisa Johnson, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 2-0 season records intact.
Parkside ended up a good deal behind Wicomico in their previous matchup back in February, losing 61-44. Can Parkside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
