Fridley is still winless after their contest against Richfield on Monday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spartans. On the bright side, the seven- run performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring match to date.

Fridley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Richfield, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.
