Fairbanks is 7-1 against Madison Plains since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will head out to challenge the Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Madison Plains will be up against a hot Fairbanks squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Panthers blew past Marysville 8-1 on Thursday.

Macy Kise made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Claire Meihls, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kyah Hendren, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Fairbanks hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Madison Plains made easy work of Worthington Christian on Friday and carried off an 18-2 win.

Fairbanks pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Madison Plains, their record is now 15-7.

Everything went Fairbanks' way against Madison Plains in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Fairbanks made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
