Even though Wilbur-Creston-Keller has not done well against Almira-Coulee-Hartline recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Wilbur-Creston-Keller came out on top against Almira-Coulee-Hartline by a score of 53-45. Wilbur-Creston-Keller's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Wellpinit, as they earned their first road win of the season. They claimed a resounding 74-28 win over Valley Christian on the road. Wellpinit's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Wellpinit's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kipri Denison, who scored 24 points along with four steals. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. Rayah Hill was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with five steals.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller's record now sits at 3-0. As for Wellpinit, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller and Wellpinit were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Wilbur-Creston-Keller came up empty-handed after a 54-53 loss. Can Wilbur-Creston-Keller avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
