Highland extended their winning streak to five on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 15-2 in the process. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Roosevelt Presidents a 1-0 shutout. The Huskies' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four matchups.

As for Roosevelt, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 12-4 record. While getting shut out isn't ideal, they haven't been shut out since back in April.

For Roosevelt's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennan Paul, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Highland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-4 win against Rondout Valley on the 19th. As for Roosevelt, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Pine Plains on the 20th.
