Morgan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Bear River Bears with a sharp 79-55 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Morgan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bracken Saunders, who shot 45% from the field en route to 25 points and eight boards. Saunders is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jake Hansen, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 20 points and five assists.

Morgan's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Bear River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Morgan has already played their next contest, an 81-65 victory against Park City on the 5th. As for Bear River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgeline at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears' defense better be ready for this one: the Riverhawks have averaged an impressive 55.3 points per game this season.
