KIPP Atlanta Collegiate won the last time they faced Therrell, and Jayvon Johnson did his part to make sure it happened again. The KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors walked away with an 80-68 victory over the Therrell Panthers on Saturday thanks to Johnson, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 25 points along with six steals and five assists. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Brandyn Harris, who posted 12 points. What's more, he also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Therrell still got an impressive performance from Gordon Davis, who went 12-for-15 to rack up 34 points and seven rebounds. Davis has become a key player for Therrell: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 20 points, but 8-15 otherwise. Morion Mcwhorter was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to seven boards and three blocks.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points over those games. As for Therrell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate and Therrell are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate will head out to take on Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches. As for Therrell, they are taking a road trip to face off against Spencer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Spencer will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Therrell surely won't give up without a fight.
