Winning always takes teamwork, but on Wednesday Melanie Urquidez stepped things up a notch to give Borrego Springs the 'W'. Urquidez wasn't messing around, getting on base in four of her eight plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The contest was her fourth straight with two or more stolen bases.

Urquidez's strong effort led Borrego Springs over Vincent Memorial and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are 9-1 against the Scots going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
