After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Independence, The Fairview Yellowjackets were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 32-14 victory over Sycamore. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Fairview's seven-point performance the matchup before.
Fairview found their leader in underclassman Jax Mccoy, who threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score. Another player making a difference was Cayden Lee, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Fairview's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Sycamore, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Fairview will be playing in front of their home fans against White House-Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (White House-Heritage is ranked 233rd, while Fairview is ranked 224th). As for Sycamore, they will head out on the road to face off against Stewart County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stewart County comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
