It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but New Canaan ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They walked away with a 20-13 win over Wilton. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but New Canaan was the better team in the second half.

One reason for the win was New Canaan's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was Miles Chisholm and his two sacks.
Norwalk can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over Bridgeport Central.
Mason Riina looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 86 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punching in a rushing score.
New Canaan's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.6 points per game. As for Norwalk, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Everything came up roses for New Canaan against Norwalk in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 45-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Canaan since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
