Itasca is 0-7 against Hamilton since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Itasca Wampus Cats will head out on the road to square off against the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Itasca had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Rio Vista with a 45-39 victory on Friday.
Meanwhile, Hamilton entered their tilt with Frost with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Hamilton put the hurt on Frost with a sharp 61-36 win on Friday. Hamilton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 20 points or more this season.
Hamilton relied on the efforts of Brooklyn Bragg, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Kelton Wright, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wright has scored at least a third of Hamilton's points. Another player making a difference was Addy Massingill, who scored seven points along with eight steals.
Itasca's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-17. As for Hamilton, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-9.
Itasca took a serious blow against Hamilton in their previous matchup on January 5th, falling 79-33. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Itasca was down 50-20.
