While losing is never fun, Thomas More Prep-Marian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Central Plains is ranked 70th).
Meanwhile, Hoxie came up short against Hill City on Friday and fell 60-51.
Thomas More Prep-Marian bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Hoxie, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3.
