Joliet won the last time they faced Sweet Grass County and things went their way on Friday too. The J Hawks snuck past the Sheepherders with a 20-14 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the J Hawks.

Jake Cook had a dynamite game, rushing for 77 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while also throwing for 86 yards and one TD. Joliet also got a significant boost from Gavin Thompson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 119 yards.

Joliet has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record.

Joliet and Sweet Grass County will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The J Hawks will challenge rival Huntley Project at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sweet Grass County is set to take on their familiar foe Manhattan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
