Volleyball Recap: Wasatch Has No Trouble Against Timpview

Wasatch had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Timpview on Thursday. The Wasatch Wasps blew past the Timpview Thunderbirds 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Wasps, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Wasatch won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-18.

JJ Serre paced Wasatch's offense, picking up seven kills. Serre got some help from Brody Hulme and his 13 assists. Hulme was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Wasatch's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Timpview, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wasatch will host Salem Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wasatch is facing Salem Hills at the right time seeing as Salem Hills is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Timpview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Provo at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Provo will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Timpview surely won't give up without a fight.
