Polson is 0-5 against Butte Central Catholic since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Polson Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Butte Central Catholic Maroons at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
On Tuesday, Polson had to suffer through a rough 52-13 loss at the hands of Bigfork. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Polson in their matchups with Bigfork: they've now lost nine in a row.
Mckenna Hanson was Polson's leading scorer, having posted six points. Hanson also led the team in rebounds with 11.
Meanwhile, Butte Central Catholic's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Browning on the road and fell 67-24. Butte Central Catholic was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.
Polson now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Butte Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Polson came up short against Butte Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 47-40. Can Polson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
