Make it ten blowout wins for the Baldwin Braves this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Perry 86-14 on the road. Baldwin's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Baldwin was led to victory by Janaye Walker and Madison Ruff. Walker dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Ruff scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Walker is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games she's played. Kassidy Neal was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
The victory was the ninth in a row for Baldwin, bringing their record for this year to 13-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.89 points. As for Perry, they bumped their record down to 4-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Baldwin's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lowndes at 10:00 a.m. on January 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Lowndes is ranked 34th, while Baldwin is ranked 14th). Perry won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Peach County at 3:00 p.m. on January 13th.
