Covington has gone 8-2 against North Vermillion recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Covington Trojans will take on the North Vermillion Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Covington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Covington and Crawfordsville meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Covington managed a 57-51 victory over Crawfordsville.

Covington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Landon Herzog out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. That's the most points Herzog has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaden Smith, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 13 points.

Covington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, North Vermillion unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. The matchup between North Vermillion and Seeger didn't end well, with North Vermillion falling 69-54.

North Vermillion's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Covington, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.

Covington and North Vermillion were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Covington came up empty-handed after a 54-53 defeat. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of North Vermillion's Teagan Leonard, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 23 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Now that Covington knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
