Carroll had won nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 5-0 to make it ten. They walked away with a 38-30 victory over the Clinton Central Bulldogs. The 38-point effort marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Leading Carroll to victory were Jillian Salts and Eliza Rinehart. Salts went 5-for-9 on her way to 11 points in addition to three steals and three blocks, while Rinehart posted ten points and eight rebounds. Salts has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

As for Clinton Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. They have struggled against Carroll recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Clinton Central lost, don't look at Carly Davison. Despite the final result, she shot 43% from the field to rack up 14 points along with five assists and five boards. That was a full 46.7% of the Bulldogs' points, marking the third time in a row Davison has scored more than a third of the team's points. Addi Mounts also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Looking ahead, Carroll will head out to take on Alexandria-Monroe at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Clinton Central, they will take on Delphi Community at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
