The home team had come away the winner the last four times St. Michaels and Easton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Saints blew past the Warriors 7-1 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Will Sherwood made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Sherwood wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Pearson Greenwood, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Connor Wheeler, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

St. Michaels pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Easton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

St. Michaels will challenge Pocomoke at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Easton, they will take on North Dorchester at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
