Make it 11 blowout wins for the Carroll Cougars this season. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 62-25 victory over Clinton Prairie. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-9.
Carroll's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alli Harness led the charge by scoring 23 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Harness also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Jillian Salts was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Carroll pushed their record up to 16-3 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.33 points. As for Clinton Prairie, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carroll will face off against Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clinton Prairie, they will head out on the road to challenge Frankfort at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frankfort is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
