The Liberty Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 33-25 to Osceola. Liberty was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Osceola apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Liberty saw an underclassman step up: Genesis Rodriguez scored six points.
Leading Osceola to victory were Brooklyn Sippio and Jamylah Williams. Sippio scored six points, while Williams scored nine points.
Liberty's defeat was their 15th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.5 points per game. As for Osceola, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14.
Liberty will be playing at home against Osceola at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Osceola on the road again and play against Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
