It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Kewaunee Storm can now relate to. They took a 34-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Darlington. Kewaunee's loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Kewaunee still got an impressive performance from Owen Carlson, who rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns. Carlson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Dj Echols was another key contributor, gaining 86 total yards and a touchdown.
Kewaunee's loss dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Darlington, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Kewaunee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Darlington will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Stratford at 1:00 p.m. on November 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wisconsin (Stratford is ranked 28th, while Darlington is ranked 26th).
