Ridge View was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins, sneaking past 13-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blazers considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Amarie Fluellen and Ashyr Robinson did most of the damage at the plate: Fluellen scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Robinson scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. Fluellen is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Willie Johnston was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.

Ridge View now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridge View will challenge Georgetown at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, they will face off against Hanahan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
