City Honors saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Willis, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Alden made sure to put some runs up on the board against Griffith Institute on Wednesday. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Griffins with a sharp 11-2 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.
Lilly Bromstead made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Bromstead was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Alden let Brooklyn Jankowski and Claire Shadle run wild. Jankowski went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one double, while Shadle went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. Those five RBI gave Jankowski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Eberth, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Alden kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Griffith Institute only managed five hits.
