She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Danasia Dower, who posted nine points.
Lorain was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.
Meanwhile, Columbia unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Keystone. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Wildcats are ranked 128th).
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Natalie Miller and Madyson Sokolowski. Sokolowski had a solid game and dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Meanwhile, Miller did her best for the losing side, putting up five points in addition to six boards and three steals.
Lorain pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lorain has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 43.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Columbia struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Lorain took a serious blow against Columbia in their previous meeting back in January, falling 64-20. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lorain was down 40-8.
