The South Stokes Sauras will head out to challenge the Walkertown Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
South Stokes is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against South Davidson on Monday as South Stokes made off with a 27-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Sauras in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Samuel Kidd made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Xander Martin was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those doubles were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tucker Monday, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Walkertown got the win against Parkland on Monday by a conclusive 20-1. That 19 run margin sets a new team best for the Wolfpack this season.
Like South Stokes, Walkertown also got a great game from a two-way player: Caden Joyce. Throwing, Joyce pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, David Olmedo didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Joyce scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Olmedo scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Walkertown got a massive performance out of Manny Morales, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Morales is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Smith, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
Walkertown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Walkertown's record now sits at 3-1. As for South Stokes, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Everything went South Stokes' way against Walkertown when the teams last played on Thursday, as South Stokes made off with a 15-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Stokes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
