Sadly, the Manassas Tigers are still looking for their first win of the season after 13 matchups. They were beaten by Booker T. Washington 49-22 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Manassas of the 53-13 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture two weeks ago.
Booker T. Washington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Malia Johnson out in front who scored four points along with six assists and six steals. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Deanna Brown was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Manassas' loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Booker T. Washington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-10.
Manassas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Booker T. Washington, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Soulsville at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Soulsville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
