The Angleton Christian Warriors were the 100-38 winner over the School of the Woods Wildcats when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Angleton Christian took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Angleton Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Graham Rosa, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Joel Lovell was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
School of the Woods' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kieran Knight, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten steals. Knight is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Gwinn, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Angleton Christian has fallen quite a ways from their 30-8 record last season and are now at 4-7. As for School of the Woods, their victory bumped their record up to 12-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Angleton Christian will challenge the Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Banff has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 16. As for School of the Woods, they will head out on the road to take on the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
