Lafayette had lost 20 straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Monday they dropped their record down to 0-18 to make it 21. They lost  14-3 to the Poquoson Islanders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Islanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  22-0  back in April.
  Regan Kerr was cooking despite her team's loss,   getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
As for Poquoson, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2. The result was nothing new for the Islanders, who have now won seven contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 On Poquoson's side,  Brooklyn Mason was  incredible,  firing off three  triples, four  runs,  and three  RBI while going 4-for-4. Those  four  hits gave  Mason a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tinley Goodson, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette will challenge Grafton at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Poquoson, they will square off against Warhill at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Islanders will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last five matches.
